Threesomes
March 9, 2007We did something bit celtic the last time BCLC met.
You know those celts, everything has to be done in threes. We were looking for God in the everyday things we do. So we each picked something we do in the week, the 3 examples I will post here are walking, sleeping and playing tennis.
We start by saying we do this thing in the name of the father, the son and the holy spirit. We then go one step further by thinking of the father as the creator, the son the redeemer and the spirit as guide.
This time we break the activity down into bits that reflect these 3 things.
Finally we make it into a rhyme.
Mine was tennis so it went something like this:
I play tennis in the name of the Father
I play tennis in the name of the son
I play tennis in the name of the spirit
I serve in the name of the father
I return in the name of the son
I volley in the name of the spirit
Father makes me serve and starts the game I play
Like the son I return, it’s in - OK
Guided by the spirit I put the volley away
Walking
Father create my movement of walk
Son save me from babbling talk
Spirit guide me when from this I baulk
Sleeping
I close my eyes and begin to dream
lose conciousness while the stars gleam
I am creative until conciousness I redeem
